Winning probabilities of Delhi Capitals in IPL-2021- Punters watch out!

In India, Cricket is a religion, and the Indian Premier League has become one of its biggest festivals. COVID-19 or not, IPL has always caught the attention of the Indian masses, which is quite spectacular. IPL 2021 is just around the corner and with the recently finished auction, all the fans and teams are preparing for the upcoming festival. While Mumbai will try to retain their crown, last year’s runner-up Delhi Capitals seem to be fully prepared to win the title this time.

With their spectacular performance in the last IPL, Delhi is one of the top competitors that every other team will have to be aware of. A few drawbacks according to experts were inconsistent performance by Openers and lack of strength at the middle order. There was also a little lack of experience on the pace balling side. That being said, Delhi patched up its drawbacks in the auction.

With the inclusion of Steve Smith on their side, they have strengthened their opening lineup. Although, it’ll be difficult to accommodate him on opening with 3 more openers present on the squad. On the pace balling side, they have bought Umesh Yadav who is a perfect fit for T-20 format bowling. Rishabh Pant has given exceptional performances recently in India’s tour of Australia and its on-going series against England. So, he will be the torchbearer of the middle order for Delhi.

Delhi has also bought many newcomers who might turn out to be an Ace up their sleeves. Many newcomers astonished everyone with their performances last year. With a lot of match-winners like Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Dhawan, Rahane and the list can go on to name every player on the team.

So, on paper, Delhi will be one of the most balanced teams this IPL and will be a force to reckon with. If things go well for Delhi, Rishabh Pant or Umesh Yadav can become contestants for Orange cap and Purple cap respectively. They could even win the Man of the Series title.

The only issue that might be an issue for Delhi is that because of ongoing situations of the country and amidst the COVID-19’s risks, they might not get to play on their home ground, which might give other teams the required edge to turn the match on their sides. Still, chances that Delhi might win this season are around 20% and that is a great number, as all the other teams are also looking forward to winning the IPL-2021.
